Wonderful People...Amazing Technology

Our story starts with the wonderful perinatal doctors at St. Johns Mercy. They helped me get through 15 weeks of bedrest to get our twins here. They were born 10 weeks to soon. Cameron was 3 lbs. 3 oz., and Caden was 4 lbs. 5 oz. Cameron had a dislocated knee, and had his cast on even before I was out of recovery. Dr. Anderson continues to be a wonderful doctor. Cam also had a perforated bowel and had to have surgery when he was three days old. I was scared and confused but everyone in the NICU was very comforting. Caden stayed in the NICU for 6 weeks and Cameron was there for 8. Much to our surprise we would be visiting the NICU again. Colton and Kyleigh made it one extra week, born at 31 weeks. Colton was 3 lbs. 15 oz., and Kyleigh was 4 lbs. 4 oz. Yes, we had two sets of twins! We had another difficult road ahead of us but it was eased by the wonderful people at St. John’s Mercy. Kyleigh stayed for 6 weeks and Colton stayed for 7. No major problems this time. Now we have a wonderfully healthy family. Carter is 4 (no stays at St. John's Mercy for him). Caden and Cameron are 2 and potty trained, and Colton and Kyleigh are 1 and walking around everywhere. I know our family would not be same without the wonderful people and amazing technology at St. John's Mercy Medical Center.
