Volunteer My Time

It's by the grace of God and the staff in the NICU that Hannah is here with us today. Hannah was born at 1 lb. 4 oz., and spent three months on the NICU. It’s not so much about the place, but the people who matter most -- the doctors and nurses that care about their patients and families the way they do at St. John’s Mercy Children's Hospital . That care is also evident in all our Mercy doctors from my kids’ eye doctor to their pediatrician to my husband's and my doctor. We have a trust and respect with all of our doctors, and you can truly tell they care about their patients. That is why after about a year of my daughter being home, I came back to volunteer my time in the NICU. They took excellent care of my daughter when she needed it most, and for that, I am truly thankful.
